Retool will end the year with over 130 people and will more than double in 2022. We’ve spent the last year building a world-class team and, with that growth, comes the need for helping support and scale our leaders and managers and provide a high-end experience for our employees.
By joining a small startup, you’ll be involved with or lead a wide range of programs and initiatives as part of your role as a People Business Partner.
As our first People Business Partner you will partner with our managers and leaders to optimize team performance and engagement and help them build and scale their teams. A significant part of this role will be focused on building capabilities of our bench of current and future managers - either through facilitating programs and roundtables yourself or building programs with outside vendors.
This role is perfect for someone who who enjoys coaching and teaching, is engaged by seeing people develop and grow, and wants to build the foundation of our employee experience.
You’ll have tremendous impact as an early member of the People Experience team, reporting to the Head of People Experience. You’ll form deep partnerships with managers and leaders across the company and the Employee Experience Team. Being a formative member of the team, you’ll play a critical part in interviewing and hiring the rest of the People Experience team.
Retools come from a variety of backgrounds: some of us come from industries unrelated to tech and others have grown up on a steady diet of Bay-area companies. We’re a slightly sarcastic, dedicated, and hard-working group!
