Retool will end the year with over 130 people and will more than double in 2022. We’ve spent the last year building a world-class team and, with that growth, comes the need for programs and initiatives to ensure the success and continued growth of our people. In the next year, we’ll build foundational people programs to set ourselves up for healthy and scalable growth. The People Programs Lead will be responsible for developing and building a variety of programs to help further our employee experience.
By joining a small startup, you’ll lead or be involved in a wide range of programs and initiatives. You won’t be confined to what is written in the job description and we guarantee that the next month won’t look like the last!
The People Programs lead will be responsible for owning a range of people programs aimed at building and elevating our employee experience. Over the next two years, as the company and People Experience org grows, some of these programs will be absorbed by new People teams and some will continue to be run centrally. These programs and initiatives could include culture surveys, performance and talent review programs, learning and development programs, building onboarding, benefits and compensation programs, headcount planning, retention analysis and systems evaluation and integrations.
This role is perfect for someone who likes to be a part of determining how programs interact and work with each other to help define employee experience OR if you’ve gone deep in one area of the people org and are looking to expand your scope.
Uniquely, in this role you’ll be able to dog-food our own products to build internal tools for the People Experience team or company at large. We’re looking for someone excited to try new approaches to tried and true problems where appropriate!
You’ll have tremendous impact as an early member of the People Experience team, reporting to the Head of People Experience. You’ll form deep partnerships with leaders across the company and the recruiting, IT, workplace and finance teams. Being a formative member of the team, you’ll play a critical part in interviewing and hiring the rest of the People Experience team.
Retools come from a variety of backgrounds: some of us come from industries unrelated to tech and others have grown up on a steady diet of Bay-area companies. We’re a slightly sarcastic, dedicated, and hard-working group!
